The Jeep importer in the Baltic States is changing

The international group of companies Modus Group, with 18 car brands in its portfolio, has become the official importer of Jeep cars manufactured by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

“In Lithuania, as in the whole world, we see the potential of this brand since a significant growth in the category of SUVs is observed every year. Being an official Jeep importer, from now on, we will communicate with the manufacturer directly. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the final car price and a smoother delivery process. We believe that the growing SUV market demands will be completely satisfied by reliable, powerful, crossing-over but herewith luxurious Jeep models,” says Laurynas Sivilevičius, Automotive Business Group Director of the Modus Group.

Jeep is the fifth brand of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the importer of which a group company has become. The Modus Group is also an official importer of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat Professional and Maserati.

The rapidly upgrading range of attractive cars has resulted in great manufacturer’s success in Europe. The new generation Wrangler was introduced this year, along with other upgraded Jeep models - Cherokee and Renegade. The brand-new Jeep Compass was presented to customers at the end of last year.

Jeep is currently the fastest growing car manufacturer on the old continent. Comparing H1 2018 with the same period in 2017, Jeep sales in 28 EU countries increased by as much as 68.1 percent, i.e. 52,232 to 87,792. Jeep’s market share has almost doubled from 0.6 percent to 1 percent. During the same period in H1 2018, car sales in the EU grew by 2.9 percent.

All Jeeps can be equipped with a four-wheel drive and growth of such car sales in Europe is increasing rapidly. For example, in Western Europe in 2007, 9.9 percent of new cars had a four-wheel drive, while in 2017, their number reached 14.8 percent.
